Lakeland is what I call a small, big city. Conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando, Lakeland maintains itself as a perfect place to raise a family or start a business. The subtropical climate of summer days in the high 90’s with lows in the 60’s and 70’s, frequent afternoon showers makes outdoor activities a must. Winters are mild and pleasurable.

History buffs and art lovers will enjoy the Polk Museum of Art, which range from pre-Columbian artifacts to contemporary painting and Florida Southern College, which has the largest on-site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. For those wanting even more history, visit Lakeland's legendary downtown Historic and Antiques district featuring antiques dealers, specialty shops, museums, art galleries, restaurants, and pubs.

For those interested in aviation, Lakeland hosts each year one of the largest events in the county, the SUN’N FUN Fly In. Held on over 1,500 acres, visitors can enjoy activities, display products, static displays of vintage aircraft, ultralights, air racers, experimental/home build, and military aircraft. To round an epic day of aerospace excitement be sure and watch the airshow featuring both military and private demonstration teams and solo performers.

Being in and around Lakeland for most of my life, it is a great place to own and grow a business, but it is a wonderful place to grow a family. People have a sense of belonging here, a sense of community and family. It still has that small town feeling while offering diverse entertainment, sports, cultural arts and recreation opportunities. Per the name there is many nearby lakes that provide an assortment of watersports. If you prefer golf, there are several to choose from.
